Mom’s Chocolate Cake

As I post this beautiful and tasty cake my Mom used to make, I think of her and the joy in her eyes when it was done and ready to eat; she loved sweets.  She enjoyed seeing all of us run to the table for a piece of her cake, which was wonderful.  One of my friends in particular could not get enough of it.   He came over every single weekend and we sat outside in the garden.  My Mom and I would watch him cut his piece of cake into small squares so he could imagine it was so much more than one slice.
